Do you know anyone who was born into a wealthy family? Do trust fund babies annoy you?

Yeah. Trust fund babies don't annoy me if they're not annoying.

Nope, and I couldn't tell ya.

Oh, yes! There were a few rich farmers where I grew up; oddly, most of their kids I grew up with remained in farming and are also doing well for themselves.

I don't begrudge money passed down to anybody. I just consider them fortunate.

I know a few people who are very comfortable, but by no means extravagantly wealthy. I think it depends on how the family as a whole approaches the money aspect; if the children/younger generations are taught from the start, to appreciate their position in life, then that helps them to stay more grounded and less apt to become a Paris Hilton or a Kardashian.

I don't know anybody that was born rich and while I wouldn't "hate" on them, I can't see myself having that much in common with somebody that never HAD to work for what they got.

One of my high school best friends is a trust fund kid. Our friendship ended just shy of a year ago when she came for the weekend and I found out the hard way she is taking drugs. For years our little group tolerated her self-absorbed nature because she was a mostly good person. Just lazy and uninspired because she had a bank account affording her such a lifestyle. But the situation here at my home was so disastrous I don't think I will ever speak to her again.
