12/11c tonight is TCM's Silent Sunday and the film of the night is Ben-Hur from 1925, not the more popular version with Charleton Heston from 1959. I'm looking forward to seeing it. The 50s Biblical movies were the most famous ones but people argue that the effects of the 1920s versions and the choreography and everything was MUCH better, MUCH more impressive than the color and sound and all their fancy effects from later years. Has anybody else seen this version or plan to?
