I would never go to work intoxicated but I also would never drink enough to get drunk in the first place.

I never stayed out too late or drank too much on a night before a workday.
However, when I was first dropping out in 1970 and working at the Bank of New Orleans in the computer room, I went to work tripping on acid. (Not a good idea)
Fortunately my job duties were written in a book like a flowchart, telling each step in sequence, so I got thru the job pretending I was an extension of the computer and following my program.

I've gone to work with slight hangovers. I could function just fine.

Nope. The only time I ever get that pissy drunk is when I got the next day off, because I CAN'T function with a hangover....I'm totally useless when I'm like that.

I'd say twice, and on of those times I think I was still drunk. It wasn't easy but I managed just fine and was better by late-afternoon.

Slightly, but nothing so serious to where I couldn't function. I wouldn't drink heavily the night before I went to work. If I ever did and woke up with a bad hangover, then I would call-in.
