Have you ever visited a prison? Either for observatory purposes or to see an inmate you knew personally? If so, what was the experience like for you?

No, I've always just written.
I visited my brother when he was locked up, but he was juvenile back then, so that's different than going to an adult prison.

Yep. Quite a few times. I had two uncles in jail that we would go see on a regular basis. It was like a picnic honestly.

Re: Have you ever visited a prison?
been to several prisons. When i was 12 my bro in law was locked up for murder... he is still in there.
he had been transferred to several max security prisons. Because i went when i was really young i was scared. First was the Philly Detention Center... where they took off our shirts and shoes--really embarrassing. Then Gratersford, which looks like an old abandoned castle. The clanking of the doors was pretty scary. Then he was in West Chester which was brand new and clean and shiny--- looked more like a school than a prison. That one wasnt bad

Re: Have you ever visited a prison?
One of my cousins were in prison years ago and a bunch of us went to see him. It wasn't like on TV, where you're talking to each other through glass. We were in the same room for X amount of time.
