| I heard of a woman who took her child to St. Jude's for cancer. Although her insurance was billed, she NEVER received a bill for the difference.
Have you ever needed to use a charity? Do you now contribute to it?

| I had assistance when I broke my neck. I was grateful it was there for me. A couple years ago, I went to a thrift store by a food panty and my son said, "That place looks like somewhere I have been." He was two and we were in line for food years prior. | |

| Not exactly a charity I don't think, but in the big storm of '91 when our house was destroyed there was some relief group that came and brought us sandwiches and water while we had to wait for the house to be rebuilt. | |

| Not to my knowledge.
I have been contemplating every month for awhile now to get a food box from Salvation Army, it hasn't come down to it yet though.

| Nope.
Oddly, though, we had a discussion with our elder neighbor on Christmas Eve. He's about 76 now. He told us that he ran away from home at 13, and ended up at a Salvation Army that he described as similar to the homeless missions we see but more semi-permanent. He asked for a bed and they assigned him one and gave him some clothes. He has contributed a great deal to the Salvation Army ever since, and he is NOT a religious man.

| No. I would like to donate more though. St. Jude's is definitely one of them. | |
