| Let's say that you were presented with a fair amount of money to be used solely for a 2-to-3 week road trip (extra for car rental if you don't want to take yours). This is for a road trip within the US only. One exception: can include the Florida Keys; however, it not Hawaii or even Alaska. You must remain within the main infrastructure of the US.
Where would you go?
By the way, you can take this trip any time of the year. It's winter now and most people don't want to road-trip in winter.

| Fuel up the diesel and head west via New Orleans and New Mexico before turning north through the Rockies. Finish up with a return east along US 12. | |

| I would go cross country prob. Never been to Yellowstone. Would like to see that. I'm definitely going to hit up Vegas as well. | |

| I've already done a couple of long roadtrips so IDK where else I might want to go. The '70s were just the time to travel on all those new Interstate hiways. Or the back roads.
In July 1970 went from New Orleans to Byron GA in a VW Bug with 3 other ppl. Then from there drove out to San Francisco, by way of St. Louis. Took a little trip down the PCH to San Diego.
In the summer of 1973, took a motorcycle road trip from New Orleans to friends in Nashville TN, Lexington KY, St. Louis, Kansas City, then back to NO.

| Well, we would start off the quick way by going down I-5 down Calif, stay overnight in Palm Springs (or 2, if it's on a weekend) and drive leisurely through the southern half of Arizona to enjoy the Old West history.
Hurry through New Mexico and Texas, and maybe even New Orleans (otherwise, I'd want to stay there). Then we'd get leisurely again through Florida (stay a couple of days in Miami), proceed leisurely on up through Georgia, and spend a few days in the Carolinas. Don't know why but I've had this urge to visit the Carolinas.
Not sure about the trip back but I doubt that three weeks would give us much time to futz around. So we'd likely be hurrying back as fast as possible.
