do you use dictionaries, phone books, encyclopedias, maps etc anymore... or do you always use the internet for information?

Re: reference books
The one book I will never go digital with--REFERENCE books. I gotta have them. Dictionaries, thesauri, quotations. I have two I love--one that has most of the IDIOMS and another of symbols.

The internet is really taking over for the most part for me. Used to go to the library every week. Now it's pretty much google. Sometimes I even use google as spell check for sites that don't already have it.

For certain facts, I still go to the library. I have found some things in books that I could not find anywhere online.

Re: reference books
My books are pretty much insulation against the walls any more (is dust an insulator also?)
I used to use a Merck Manual for decades - but never open it - too much of the same info on the Web.
However, I still have a current American Heritage Collegiate Dictionary by my computer because there are words in it that are missing on most computer dictionaries.
Even my library of books on sexuality is mostly obsolete as that info and pix can be found online. Guess it is nice knowing you have a source that is accessible in a power failure, but until then I check online for stuff that I am researching.

Re: reference books
I still use dictionaries (and sometimes encycolpedias) mostly because it's fun to scroll through them when you're bored and I still have several of them. But other than that, most of my reference comes from online, smart phone or GPS.

Re: reference books
I use Thesauruses on the computer. Dictionary, from the book. I still use phone books once in awhile because I despise online directories (one of them seems to pop up lists of everything but what you want).
