Don't have a tablet, but have seen them at the beach and surprisingly easy to read even in the sun.

Hubby has two e-readers, no need for a tablet. He likes them because he can control the size of the type. He has cataracts which hopefully will be taken care of this fall as he is a voracious reader. He also gets large print books at the library, and I read books he likes but can't get in large print to him. It works out I actually enjoy reading to him and he enjoys being read to. I prefer paper books, but I may have to figure a way to read in bed without being on my stomach, I suspect it is playing havoc on my back. I need a book propper-upper so I could read on my side.
