Have you ever been evicted, or faced eviction?

Nope.

No, but I remember as a kid in Chicago, evictions fascinated me. When all the people's things would be in the lawn after the land owner cleared the place, I was so interested in looking at the mess of things.

I been kicked out a few places...name was never on the lease though. And it was them who was always trippin.

Although I've never been evicted over the years we have found two notices on our door stating that eviction proceedings had begun because our rent wasn't paid. I think the first time was when we could still drop the check off at the rental office. My wife checked our account and the check had cleared and the office told us to "never mind" about the notice. That's what we figured with the second notice but by then we had to mail the check to some PO box and when my wife checked that time she couldn't find any trace of the check on our account. Had to give a money order to the office. From that time until we were finally able to pay on line I got so paranoid that wants2laugh would lose our rent again ( ) that I sent it via certified mail from then on.
