I do that thing we're all not supposed to do & use Q-tips.

Because Qtips push the wax back in into the ear canal. I use this solution that breaks up the wax....then it drains out of the ear. I do it about twice a month and I clean out my ears everyday with a washcloth.

I try to do it once or twice a week. When I had hair, I never bothered to do it more than once a month. Now that you can see my ears, I am a little more aware of the waxy crap. I find the best tool is the cap off a BIC pen. The thin part that clips on the pocket. Works great.

I always noticed the warning on the box do not stick into ear canal...and as a kid I'm thinking 'how do you do that?' you know, you can't see it so how would you be sure?

By not doing it. It's like that saying about not sticking anything in your ear smaller than your elbow.
