Teenager lives on chicken nugget diet for 15 years

There are some people, myself included, who can't help but wonder since this story is so bizarre and unbelievable, can it actually be true?

If it is true both that girl and her mother must be two of the dumbest people who ever lived. Exactly who the hell lets their 2 year old dictate what they're going to eat and only eats one thing all day every day for 15 years?

There was a TV show some time ago that focused on bizarre eating habits, a woman who would only eat french fries and a man who only ate pizza, one who ate everything including the foam rubber from her couches and chairs, and other weird things. Very dangerous habits. Like you I have to question a mother allowing her 2 year old to eat only one thing. However I remember a friend who asked me how I got my kids to eat so well (Including my 2 year old) while they ate the ice cream she gave them and her son also 2 painted his high chair with the ice cream. When I told her how I gave the kids 30 minutes to finish their meal (I had one who would sit and dabble all day if allowed)if they weren't finished I took the food away and no snacks till the next meal if I had to take the food away. She responded "Oh I couldn't do that to little Stevy, he'd starve". This was the same little Stevy that through out the day she handed doughnuts and potato chips. Little Stevy today probably weighs 900 lbs.

The older I get the more I realize things from when I was a kid. Part of the reason we were so skinny was because we did NOT have junk food a lot, we would get potato chips and Cheetos and Oreos and Branchs caramels, but not every day, and we only took sips from our dad's Pepsis, but also every night at dinner, halfway through I would stick my stomach out as far as I could and say I was so full, I never wanted to sit down and eat all my dinner. But I realize now part of it's because we didn't always eat the most appetizing stuff back then either, I hated green beans, homemade macaroni and cheese was okay but there was one night I sat looking at it for half an hour because I didn't want to eat it. We didn't fry our French fries they were baked in the oven, which was gross so we used a lot of ketchup on them. And breakfast was largely just Cheerios and bran flakes you cannot get fat off of that.

Why do stories like this even make news? Even if the amount of nugget meals she eats is being exaggerated here, she and her mother are idiots for more reasons than one. First, she eats too much unhealthy and costly fast food. Second, they need to remedy this privately and not give interviews about what they should consider an embarrassing family matter.

my bro used to eat only doritos, tuna fish, and ellio's pizza... but it was a phase... he eventually grew out of it. i understand how a child would want certain things.... i dont understand how a parent could give in
