Do you put your signature on the back of your credit cards....or do you write "SEE ID" on it?

I didn't know you could write "SEE ID" on it. I sign my name on back because often enough they compare the signature to my ID.

I get a Sharpie and sign it but "see ID" sounds like a good idea except that I can't remember the last time anyone looked.

I haven't signed any of mine. I just show ID when needed.

I do both. I tried not signing it several years ago but a few merchants told me that I need to; after all, they still compare signatures.
All my life, even as a kid, I always wondered why i.d. wasn't required to use credit cards.

It's rare when the cashier even touches the card. Most of the time it's just swipe & sign.

Same here. A few times the cashiers wouldn't touch the card unless I signed it.

I don't sign mine and should write "See I.D." on them. I only use my debit and the actual credit card stays at home.
