Is there a connection? Empty
PostSubject: Is there a connection?   Is there a connection? EmptyWed Feb 29, 2012 2:34 am

My mother knows 3 women who have all had both hysterectomies and their gall bladders removed, and ever since then, all three of them have been sick constantly, and all with the same problems. They seem to always have the flu, and can't eat anything, and it doesn't matter what they eat, they're constantly throwing up, and it's getting to the point the doctors are basically saying they're sick of the women coming to see them because they always have something wrong with them. Now, environment, lifestyle, diet, are all different for these women, the only thing they have in common is they had both these surgeries and now they're always sick and there doesn't seem to be anything that can be done for them. Does anybody have anymore insight about if this could be possible?

Can't fathom unless something "else" attacked all their organs. And it's still hard to imagine what the female organs and gallbladder would share in common. That is really, really ~ really! ~ weird.

No hyst but I did have my gallbladder removed several years ago and, if anything, I'm sick a lot less now than before. If you get painful gallstones that are not removable then you have no choice but to get the organ removed, because the attacks get unbearable.

It could just be coincidence.

The symptoms you describe sound like what my wife had, but after a bunch of useless tests one brilliant GI doctor had her tested for the Helicobacter Pylori bacteria. Some specific antibacteria ended the problems.

IDK where the other GI doctors heads were at (actually I do and it relates to their specialty) for not trying the simplest most obvious thing that could be causing this prob.

Sounds like they need to see specialists.
