Probably about once a week. More often in the summer as needed.

Totally, every time after swimming, and heavy on the conditioner then otherwise it just ain't any good.

As for hair washing, every time I take a shower. Of course I have more hair on my legs, arms & chest than I do on my head.

If you have color you have to be more careful about washing. And if you're red, you look at it with impending dread. But if you wash everyday you need to use something gentle because it will strip the natural oils out of your hair.

I only wash my hair once a week. Anything more than that strips the healthy oils out of your hair. I can't even fathom washing your hair every single day.

I have to wash my incredibly dry hair at least twice a week. Then I use a heavy duty conditioner on it. Within a couple of days the conditioner has dried out and is gone.

Those things don't do us any good, we got too much hair to fit in the caps. I even found my mother one specifically for long hair, she still couldn't get it all tucked under.

I work up a pretty good sweet almost every day and can't fathom not washing my hair when I take a shower. Even just rinsing off my head doesn't do it for me.

The weather/climate don't have to mean shit. We have a good friend who lives in one of your neighboring boroughs who swims almost every day at a YMCA.

Then you haven't found the right one. I fit all of mine under one and I know people with dreads who can fit theirs under one too.

You do have to go outside after swimming if you're swimming at the YMCA. Yeah, I don't think wet hair and cold air is a good combination. And no, I don't wear hats. Better to not get it wet in the first place.

When I am on the train now and then a girl will be standing in front of me and man, the smell from her hair is just god awful. This has happened quite a few times. Some girls need to wash that hair more than once or twice a week.

I just don't like the appearance and look of my hair if I don't wash everyday. There have been times where I would go a day without washing, and it would look weighed down, oily, lifeless, and just doesn't look right to me. Growing up I've always washed my hair daily, not doing so seems odd to me. Everyone I know is same way. I myself, can't fathom only washing once a week. Plus I do use styling products as well. When I wash everyday, I have that body and "fresh" look in my hair that I love.

So...when you do wash your hair, you lather up, wash it, rinse out the shampoo, squeeze out some more shampoo, lather up and rinse it out again?
