How tolerant are you of being corrected? Like, say, you mispronounce a word or have your facts wrong and someone corrects you. Do you find it bothersome?

I don't mind it because if I am making an error, how else will I learn?
But what really bugs me is if I am telling a story I know I have right and someone interjects some other facts, that bugs me a lot.

Depends on what it is. Nobody likes a pretentious smartass knowitall. So if it's just a minor thing there's no real point. But sometimes it actually is significant & I don't mind. But as was mentioned in the other thread, tact should come into play.

Tact - yeah that is the key point.
I have seen ppl make grammatical errors in a group and corrected them later. If someone makes an issue of a slight error publicly I consider it an affront and also consider what is that person's pathology. Some ppl have a mean streak and I try to avoid them. So, correcting language gaffs might get you fewer associates to correct in future.

Depends on how they do it and the tone of their voice. If they do it in a fleeting, throwaway manner, then I don't care....but if I detect cynicism or pretentiousness in their voice, then we may have a problem.
