| If you had a vacation home and members of your family wanted to stay there for vacation would you charge them for their stay? They would be using your water, electric and whatever amenities are in the house.
I could not bring myself to charge anyone in my family if I owned a vacation home. | |

| No, I wouldn't; but I would set up some rules, regulations and parameters. I'd also be disappointed if they didn't offer to chip in financially, just out of appreciation, but I wouldn't insist on it. | |

| Depending on the family member. I'd prob. charge a nominal fee....just to help with all the electricity and water they'd be using. | |

| I don't know that any of my family would ask to use it and if they were there at my invitation I wouldn't ask or expect anything other than they left it in the same state that they found it in. Or cleaner. | |

| As it stands, Dad expects us to keep his home as a vacation home after his passing. If any of my family wanted to stay there, I would not charge them. It would be a gift. But in my family, nobody would ever do that except for maybe one uncle. I would never charge him. Any friends wanting to stay, I would probably not ask either, just be happy to make the place used and look busy.
