    How old were you when you got your drivers license?

    Where did you take your drivers training?

    How well did you do in the class, and on the road?

    How long was it after you got your drivers license that you got your first car?

    Where did you take your drivers training?
    I took a driver's ed course in school but I'm pretty much self taught. I remember my dad sitting me on his lap and letting me steer when I was little and I use to take my mother's car for joyrides around the block since I was 11. My mother taught me some basics of driving and my dad taught me how to drive on the highway but I haven't spent any significant time driving with one person trying to learn.

    How well did you do in the class, and on the road?
    Did well even though I only got to drive one damn time in the whole class. Passed the road test on my first try.

    How long was it after you got your drivers license that you got your first car?
    Like 7 or 8 months.

    sixteen.

    Where did you take your drivers training?
    Atlas Driving School, two months after my sixteenth birthday.

    How well did you do in the class, and on the road?
    Got an 84 on the written test. Did moderately well enough to pass the road test. My driving instructor was an ass, though.

    How long was it after you got your drivers license that you got your first car?
    A year. Got my first car as a HS graduation present.

    Where did you take your drivers training?
    Took it at school during summer vacation 1995, passed the class....but failed the road test. That following Nov., I went to Sears Driving School.
    Passed both the test and road that time. January 1996, my license was mailed to me. I got in under the wire too, because a new Michigan law regarding teenage driving went into effect in Jan. 1996 - where you had to be 18 to get a fully unrestricted drivers license. I was in that very LAST group of 16 year olds able to drive w/o condition.

    How long was it after you got your drivers license that you got your first car?
    Five years. I didn't get my first car until I was almost 21.

    At school.

    How well did you do in the class, and on the road?
    Near perfect on the road, but I failed the classroom test the first time I took it. Second time, I passed. The very next day after I failed it the first time, I think I studied harder for it than I had ever studied for anything ever.

    How long was it after you got your drivers license that you got your first car?
    Three years.
