| It is getting ridiculous. Many schools already prohibit birthday party invites handed out at school unless the whole class is invited. Now they take issue with best friends? What is wrong with fostering lasting bonds? | |

| Apparently they think by prohibiting kids to have best friends in the first place it'll do them a favor and save them the pain of the falling out. This is the school, it's not their job to care if two kids stop being friends. | |

| Exactly. It is a thing in real adult life...not all bonds last. Learning that young is a great benefit in my opinion. | |

| TEACHERS - LEAVE THOSE KIDS ALONE!
Damn, where to so-called educated adults come up with this shit. It is one thing to mold young kids into a discipline (raising hands, not talking out of turn, not throwing rocks at the fucked up teach ...) but this goes against nature.
Yep, just like all other primates we are hardwired to be social. We also pair bond and group bond and it has nothing to do with learning - it has to do with what we are. So, if this idiocy catches on, look for a whole new batch of psychopaths in England in a couple of decades.
Or, more likely friendships will go underground - and as long as BFF is illegal the kids will probably smoke something while they're breaking rules anyhow. | |
