What would you consider "emotional neglect" in a relationship and would it be enough for you to break up with someone solely because of it?

uh... not bothering to care to know me--- my preferences, likes dislike...

my ex hubby would come home from the store and say, "look i got ur favorite ice cream-- fudge ripple" NO that was HIS favorite. when he bought me gifts, he never bothered to know what i wanted, needed, or used.. he would just go to the store and buy things...

some people would say im being petty--- but if i take the time to get to know everything about you because i care... then he should too
