Just finished the second book that Dirk Benedict wrote, still manages to keep the humor in between describing the many troubles he and his then wife Toni had at their failed attempt at an at-home birth with their first child, and then taking a very serious turn going back to the years that he was haunted by his father's ghost ever since he died when Dirk was 18 and it's revealed that the two are very much connected.
It took 2 books for Dirk to finally explain HOW his father died, I can appreciate how hard it is to talk about, but even Katharine Hepburn in her autobiography could finally come to the point a lot sooner. It takes forever to figure out the details that spell out his older brother shot and killed their father when he broke into their house.
