I have a bone to pick with the Chamber...

Enough with the talk about bears!

I have been thinking so much about bears, in part due to posts here, and when I got up North Friday, someone said she saw the biggest bear she has ever seen in her life on a certain road...1/8th mile from my dad's house.

Sunday night, my dog was sick and I had to take him outside while we were in the camper in the woods and I was terrified.

In summer we stay in the camper in the woods and I despise guns, so I think I am going to try to find a blow gun. I don't think they sell them legally anymore, but I need some protection against these bears.

I literally did not sleep all night Sunday because the dog was sick and when I took him outside the camper, it was totally dark out and the dog, who rarely barks, was barking at something out there.

On Saturday, my four wheeler was stuck in the back of the land for a moment and I screamed to the possibly nearby bears, idle threats as I got unstuck. All that accomplished was giving the neighbor a good laugh.

Bears suck. Not the Chicago Bears. Just bears in general.

ok... now that you have explained.. i will lay off the bears talk-- can i talk alligators??? that will only scare Shale--- but since he was not terrified by a flesh eating zombie, i dont think he'd be too scared of alligators

Three words for you. African rock python. Not the kind in Marc's pants. These things are starting to become a problem in Florida according to an animal show I watched over the week end. Don't worry Red, they don't do well up north.

No Prob with gators, they are a part of the scenery here. Any body of fresh water is likely to have one in it or you see them walking down the street getting to it. There was a cooling pond between buildings at the community college here and sure enuf, there was a gator in it.

Now, face eating zombies are new here. Hope they don't naturalize like the rock pythons. BTW, maybe wearing one of those hockey masks and carrying a machete is a good idea.
