Is there a good sit down (not fast food) restaurant within a mile of your house? If so, what's the name of it and what type of food do they serve?

Pizza Hut, Ruby Tuesday, A good Mexican & Chinese Restaurant, and a great place to get breakfast.
Sizzler is within a mile but I hardly go there.

Lots of them. One of my favorites is called "The Cup and Saucer." They have a lot of vegetarian dishes and although I am not a vegetarian, I love to order them because they are so good.
They make a great BLT, reuben, great scrambles and omlettes and their pasta dishes are good. Their food is a bit different from the usual.

Within a mile of where I live there are several sit-down restaurants mostly on Collins Ave all featuring some South American cuisine and one Mexican restaurant.
I only ate at one of them with one of my young men friends of Peruvian heritage, who helped me find some vegetarian dish.

There's not much in my immediate neighborhood, but I guess it depends on what you call MY neighborhood. There's quite a few plazas and malls very close to us, but in terms of something you can walk to in under 20 minutes, there's basically just the plaza. The plaza has a Wawa and a small Chinese place with great food. The main "restaurant" is a pizzeria with a small dining room. We eat there from time to time and it isn't bad. The deli next to it expanded a few years back to include a sitting area but IDK if the food's any good.
The satellite campus for the local community college is also in walking distance and they got a cafeteria. lol They have decent food, but their best thing was a special breakfast burrito they only made for 1 day. lol

The Door, which is a Caribbean restaurant on Baisley Blvd. DELICIOUS island food. Hmm, since I'm off tomorrow, I should go there for dinner.

I haven't seen a sizzler around in years! They used to have a great chocolate cake, although even back then it was it was about $5 a slice.
we used to have Rustlers and Ponderosa too.. which I really liked.
