That's a problem with some men and the internet. They're getting too much of a grip Wink

I think the word "addiction" is truly defined as "lack of self control". Today we are addicted to everything, booze, drugs, cigarettes, porn, video game, food... now the net.

The whole problem with texting, the internet, and video games is that kids are not learning any social skills. Some people have the total inability to interact with others, causing them to become adults with no jobs, no relationships, and no idea how to fix it.

I have a lot of experience with drunks/junkies, and i can tell you that i do not buy the whole "its a disease" excuse. IMO its a choice.

I am sure it's probably on a longer list, but hardly the short list.

I really do believe the addiction is a mental illness for some. I'm talking about trolls. There is nothing worse than someone who trolls for the hell of it and then stalks you on other pages or makes up sockpuppets that agree with themselves just to get their point across. There is a lot of that on IMDB. I think people who go through all of that have serious mental health problems.

I think in some cases there are just a lot of mentally ill people with internet access rather than the internet being an actual addiction.

Yes for some it would be like any other addiction if it causes problems. I read of a young couple who actually let their infant die because they spent so much time in the Internet playing games or whatever they neglected their own child.
The Internet addiction was a mental condition that resulted in the death of their child.
