If you're a parent you've probably been buying the school supplies necessary for your kids to head back to school with: notebooks, binders, pens, pencils, etc. The grocery store had them on sale here last week, and comparing the on sale price to the off sale price is just ridiculous. Keep in mind this sale was only for one week: 70 page 1 subject notebooks, 20 cents a piece, off sale, $1.20 a piece; Dixon #2 pencil 10 packs, on sale 50 cents a pack, off sale $1.40 a pack; Bic crystal pen 10 packs also 50 cents a piece on sale, off sale $1.70 a pack. So while they were on sale I was able to get a $15+ deal for only $3: 10 notebooks and 20 pens and 20 pencils.
Considering that school doesn't start until next Friday I think it was ridiculous that they were put back to the regular price after only one week, ALSO I find it odd that none of the other stores that are selling school supplies had deals like that either. But BOY wouldn't you hate to be one of these parents scrambling at the last minute now to get everything together?
How about the parents of the chamber? If you've had to buy school supplies, how much are they running and would you say it's a fair price?
