    Earthquake Empty Earthquake

Post by Suzi Sun Oct 28, 2012 12:54 pm

BC had the strongest earthquake in 60 years last night, 7.7. Hubby was in this room and his chair moved he thought he was getting sick. Then he noticed that our blinds were swaying. I didn't feel it but when he told me I thought maybe the town had some sort of explosion as I too saw the swaying. We have several local news sites available to us so we started checking, the least well known of the internet sites was first with the news. Then there was a tsunami warning and people were being evacuated from their homes at the coast.

We live inland and while we could feel or see the shaking we weren't affected at all. We got a good nights sleep. A lot of people didn't.

Sorry. Have I had you confused with someone else all this time? I thought you're married to an inactive member named Timetrvlr (whose name I thought was Tim.)

It's funny you mention that because I know a couple named Suzi and Tim.

I've only been in one earthquake AND I SLEPT THRU IT! Shocked

I was a young man in Turkey and got off the midnight shift and was sleeping in the barracks. When I woke up I found my bunk in the middle of the floor. Thot it was roommates messin' with me but I later found out everyone ran out when the building was shaking.

Thanks a lot guys, just left me in my bunk sound asleep. blank stare @ you

I grew up in California, so I am very familiar with earthquakes. What I find really different about this one is it is now winter here in BC, this is the first earthquake I have ever heard of in winter. In fact the old timers all used to say when we had heat waves in So.Cal. it was earthquake weather.
