    "The long-running ABC soap has just announced that it will begin producing the show in 16X9 widescreen standard-definition (SD) format. The change means improved picture quality, similar to that of a DVD, with a theatrical viewing format. The first tape date is today, October 26; the new format will begin airing on December 6."

    It's still not HD.

    If they are going widescreen I think its a matter of time before they go HD.
