think my laptop is broken i cant connect to a network. its tellin my that i need to turn wireless switch on. but it is on. :x

im using work computer right now and its slow.

anyone know how i can fix this? or do i gotta take it in

It could just be a network issue. How long has it been down?

since last night.

it went out last while i was online..all of a sudden i couldnt get back on line. i thought it might have been the network at my house. but im here at work and its still not able to find any networks.

If it's only the network connection and is working fine otherwise, then it's probably something very minor. Sometimes computers randomly lose their configuration and need to be reconfigurated. You may just need to take it to Best Buy or a local computer tech shop and have them look at it. In the meantime I would shut it all the way down and leave it off for a while....then when you get home try it again.

yea its just the network thing. computer is fine. i hope its something minor. taking it to best buy, would that be expensive?

Yup. They overcharge.

You should contact your ISP and have them walk you through the process of getting back on the network. It's what they're there for.

Sounds like something similar that happens to us every now and then. Happened last night actually. First thing my wife does (she's the technical one in our family) is to unplug the router (I think it's the router). Usually takes care of the problem. After she plugs it back in of course.

I found a way to temporary relieve the problem..i had to uninstall the wireless driver then reinstall it back in.. my coworker is the one that showed me this... problem is its only temporary. my coworker said theres somethin thats runnin in my computer that makes that happen. but now thats how i can fix it temporarily.

unistalling the driver an reinstallin seemed to have fixed the problem...love u max
