| What are your thoughts on this great comedy show from the 60's? I love it, it's very funny, and something I read a few years ago was that of all the families in TV, psychiatrists picked The Addams Family as being the most normal family because they all loved each other. Kind of hard to believe they'd come out the most normal but it does make sense, such a concept is particularly impossible to believe in sitcoms today where the kids hate their parents, the parents have zero clue about their kids' lives, etc. But I digress: it's hard to have a favorite character from this show because they're all great, but my absolute favorite is Fester, he's just SO funny, and it is funny for anybody who has seen Charlie Chaplins' movie The Kid, to see that this is the little child all grown up now a bald man in a black fur thing putting light bulbs in his mouth, I find that very funny. | |

| I never watched it a lot as a kid when it was on repeats, but I did really love it when I did see it. I found them so interesting. | |

| I liked the movies better. IMO the show was too slapstick and dorky. | |

| The movies were actually some of my first exposure to the Addams family, except for their one Christmas episode and their Halloween reunion from 1977, and I like the movies, they're very good, but it's on a different level than the TV show, of the two I think I prefer the show. | |

| Maybe I should watch The Addams Family on Netflix tonight. I've never seen that movie in its entirety. | |

| It's a good one, it's one of my favorites. The second one was good but I don't think AS good. | |

| It was one of my favorite shows. I liked it better than The Munsters. Sorry Marc, IMHO I thought it was far from dorky. Just about every show had some great one liners and the cast had the comedy chops to deliver them. Some trivia. Ted Cassidy who played Lurch was also Thing (unless both characters were in the same scene.) I never bothered watching any of the various remakes until Barry Sonnenfeld did Addams Family and A.F. Values. Very worthy tributes to the show. Great casting. | |
