To all who are single (or remember the single life):

When you go to club, are you more attracted to the people who're on the floor dancing (versus those who stayed seated at the table or bar?) Do you think you can tell a lot about someone based on their willingness to dance, or how well they do it?

I go to a dancing place every now and then, and I can never understand people who just hang out at the bar or just sit and talk - I say, don't be an old poo! Get up and dance! As for a person's willingness to dance or how well they do it, I don't think you can figure out anything that way about a person. If someone saw me dance, they'd say I was outgoing, but off the dancefloor I'm very shy and reserved - judgments can be wrong.

I think it does and not to sound crass, but people @ clubs who are willing to get up and dance are probably a better f**k than those who sit in the corner with their drinks and just stare. (That's IF you're trying to hook up, of course! big grin)

I don't think it tells much about them. David Bowie, who has marked music history as being one of the more colorful artists and performers and who has created a lot of great music, particularly great FOR dancing to, has been quoted as saying he thinks dancing is stupid, and depending on the dance, I'm inclined to agree.

I know, he does well for somebody who thinks it's stupid. Of course maybe he came to that philosophy later on in life.

Probably shows their degree of playfulness, liberation or how uninhibited they are. Still with that said, I stay at the bar.

Attracted to someone more just because they're dancing? Umm, no. People who are dancing just means they're in the mood to dance. It's not that big of a deal because if you just sit at the bar, it could mean you just like to be observant and there's nothing wrong with that. I've held some pretty interesting conversations sitting at the bar. But yes, if you see someone out there dancing and they can get down....it usually means they're just as smooth in other areas as well. If I see a guy on the dance floor and he can't dance worth a damn, I'd be like 'eh, okay'. But if I see mini Usher on the floor, yeah.....me and him are going to be cuttin' a rug together.

IMO people who go to clubs and don't dance are like people who go to amusement parks and refuse to get on any of the extreme roller coasters. It's like WHY did you even bother to come? IMO clubs are boring when you don't dance. There's only so much walking around & sitting and staring you can do before you're ready to leave.
