2010 Oscar Nominations Empty 2010 Oscar Nominations

Post by JWF Tue Jan 25, 2011 11:43 am

"The King Speech" received 11 Oscar nominations. Truly, a magnificent film. IMO...if you only see one film this should be it!

"True Grit" which some critics felt might be shut out received 9 nominations. I wasn't surprises as this is another excellent film from the Coen's. Wonder how many the 1969 film received?

Some may never have heard of "Winter's Bone". You won't be disappointed. Out on DVD. Recipient of 4 Nods, including Best Picture and Actress.

"The Social Network" received 7 nods, not among my favorites

I'm shocked in a bad way that Mila Kunis didn't get nominated. Oh well. Here's hoping Colin Firth takes the award home, as well as Natalie Portman. Those are the only awards I care about.

I think just two. Best Actor in a Leading Role (John Wayne's only win) and Best Music, Original Song but Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid won that with Rain Drops Keep Falling On My Head.
