    While I did enjoy The Bucket List about old guys near death, and RED about old spies coming in out of the cold, I am quite cosmopolitan in my enjoyment of movies.

    I enjoyed Mongol, Atanarjuat, Y Tu Mama Tambien, The Color Purple, For Colored Girls and many other films that were not set in my language or culture.

    I fall for the whole "chick flick" genre.

    Also, if there was a movie about or set in my city, I would probably want to see it. A guy that works at the Y was telling me that he did a self funded film and it was available to borrow at our library. I got it and it was so cool to see all the shots in places in my city. ((Plus, the movie was so badly acted, it was funny as hell and we have never laughed that much while watching a film!))

    I like gay movies, but I'm iffy on movies about Middle Eastern or Italian culture because they seem likely to be about stereotypes. That's OK but if they go that route then everything needs to be top notch, story and actingwise.

    Race, gender, sexuality or any other culture type plot doesn't keep me away from seeing a particular film. It' more about the excellence and quality of the film. I don't always hit on a good film, but if an interesting script strikes my fancy, I'll see it. 2008 "Milk" is an example.

    I just like movies and they rarely make movies that cater to biracial people, if ever. On that note, I usually support movies based on the actor/director or if movie just looks interesting.
