will likely continue to increase as they typically do in the early
spring, when production switches from the winter to the summer blends

yup. i believe where im at, its about 3.65, i cant remember, they seem to raise everyday..

I paid $3.29 Sunday for regular. Jersey is very expensive to live in but we do at least have one of the lowest state gas taxes. I usually only have to fill up every two weeks and two weeks ago it was $2.95. Even if you're lucky enough not to have to pay for gas like Shale, everyone still gets hammered by higher prices for food, etc. It's our own fault for allowing ourselves to become so dependent on a volatile commodity.

Oh yeah they are soaring, and I knew that they would. I just find it funny how different the reaction is now to what they were a few years ago.

Gas prices are sick....the cheapest I've been able to find is $3.40. I'm paranoid about burning fuel....makes you not wanna go nowhere.

They're steadily escalating here, but we're not getting hit the worst. Right now it's going for about $3.30/gal.

Between 3.40 and 3.60 here.

3.65 a Gallon here in NY

It's not because of an oil shortage either, it's pure greed by oil speculators. Libya accounts for less than 2% of the worlds oil supply and Saudi Arabia has said that they will increase their production to keep prices stable.

I can't believe that something more environmentally friendly still hasn't been invented & put to use. It seems like they're not even trying.

Yup. We're now at $1.24 or so per litre, which is $4.69 gallon. It's still far cheaper for us to drive south of the border to fill up.

ITA with timetrvlr - it's pure greed and nothing to do with the shortages.

$3.95 for me....since I use premium. $3.85 if I decide to use plus. Yeah, it's crazy. I just put money on a MetroCard today.

Soaring you say!!??

I am out in the country in St. Charles, Missouri and need to drive my sister's Santa Fe to get around.

When I arrived here last Wed, I noticed the gas signs were at $3.66, about a dime less than they were in Miami.

Then two days ago I noticed they were $3.85, A 20 CENT JUMP OVERNITE!!! My first reaction was "what happened in the Middle East yesterday?" And that is all it is about, oil speculation on Wall St. no real shortage of petrol. With half a tank of gas my next reaction was, why didn't I fill it up yesterday.

Anyhow, I went into the station gave the guy a 20 and said to put it on the pump. Went out and pumped 5 GALLONS OF GAS!

Yesterday I was out and saw that it's now up to $4.19/gal. I don't even want to leave the house.

I saw a gas stn sign as I biked by.

Gas is high here in NYC, but I have to be honest, I just pump the gas, ignore the price and keep moving.

We are up to 4.29 a gallon here in NY, its sickening.

It's $4.09 at the gas station by my house....deeper in the burbs, it's more. It's unacceptable for gas to be over $3.30 a gallon IMO. I don't know what's going on with that.

Still going up and we knew this was coming 2 years ago. lol

I think oil is still under $100 a barrel since they got bin Laden. Lets not hold our breath waiting for the price at the pump to fall to the price it was the last time it was that low.

$1.13 a liter here, or $4.27 a gallon where I live.

I paid $3.779 this morning. That’s up 10¢ from two weeks ago. It's only that low here because NJ has one of the lowest state gas taxes in the country. Just about everything else, we're #1 in the other direction.
