We did this week, Lotto Max is fifty million this Friday with ten other draws @ 1 million each. I know that I'll never win, the odds are too great. On the other hand, someone will win it and if I don't have a ticket, I can't win.

That's pretty much how I see it. I do Powerball but don't obsess about it. I've won a few bucks but I'm never disappointed when there's nothing either.

Every week, sometimes Powerball, sometimes Mega Millions, depends who's got the bigger jackpot of the week, and scratch offs, I like scratch offs, haven't had a lot of winners on them lately but I've mailed in several for second chance prizes and like the OP said, if you don't try, you never win.

Once in awhile if I am near a place that sells tickets but I don't obsess over it.

but i do buy scratchers every now an then.. most i ever won tho was $10

We don't usually get a lot of big payoffs with them, when we DO win it's usually free ticket, or $1 or $2, but a couple of times I did manage to win $40 on a $5 one and a $1 and other times I've won $20 or $25, but not too often.
