'm only talking about the real Warner cartoons....the ones no later than the 1960s. Why is it that Porky co-starred with Daffy and Sylvester a lot but never with Bugs?

heres one with bugs/porky.. im sure its before 1960, looks that way. there no talkin in it tho

I always thought it had something to do with how Bugs was a Merrie Melodies character, while Porky was Looney Tune's; even though both were ultimately taken over by Warner Bros.

It goes back to a long standing feud going back to the early 40s. Porky found a half eaten carrot under Petunia Pig's bed and has hated Bugs' guts ever since. There was an incident in 1954 - now mind, it was never proved - but many insiders believed it was Porky who slipped the live ammo into Elmer Fudd's shotgun that almost took Bugs' head off.
