When addressing your aunts and uncles, do you use the "Uncle" and "Aunt" prefix before their names, like Aunt Betty, Uncle Joe? Or do you just call them Betty and Joe? My family isn't formal like that, so most of my uncles and aunts get called by their first names. No "Uncle" this or "Aunt" that.

They are all dead. I kid you not. But before that, I didn't call them anything. I just avoided any form of address that included a name. My mom was one for formality, any older person was Mr or Mrs and if they were closer, it was Aunt or Uncle. But I never called anyone anything.

i myself call them by first names, my guy cuzns tend to call our aunts, "auntie"

Yes, I always do use the appropriate prefix. My parents were huge on that. Even elderly neighbors were "aunt".

By and large, I call my uncles and aunts by their first names with no prefix. The only exceptions are those older aunts/uncles who're my grandparents age.
