Not that great a slasher movie but better than Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, in my opinion, and in some parts definitely creepy, and this movie introduced me to Coffy.

Never been interested in seeing it. I'm not really into those teen horror/slasher/drama movies.

I saw both in the movies and i gotta tell u... Scream was much better. Smaller cellphones were still in their early stages, so having the killer on the cellphones was pretty scary... that was the first movie that made audiences jump in quite some time

Re: Urban Legend (1998)
This is true but the thing about Urban Legend is the killer doesn't need to be on a phone, except for that one guy with the dog. With Scream, you have a warning that the killer is nearby, in Urban Legend it's just boom, crazy bitch comes outta nowhere. It's kind of like the thing with When a Stranger Calls with Carol Kane, nobody thinks about the fact that as long as the killer stays on the line with her, she's safe, when he hangs up, then she's in potential danger.

Re: Urban Legend (1998)
yeah... but part of the problem with that was that she was the "noxema" commerical girl. She was known to the audience as someone sweet, pure, clean--- so audiences didnt buy her being the crazy bitch. We laughed at it LOL

Re: Urban Legend (1998)
I'll say this much, she was more believable as a villain and her motives were more believable, than what was done in that God awful sequel.
