One Life to Live Scoops & Spoilers
Previews for the week of 16-May-2011
    by Carol Banks Weber

    • Clint uses his millions to get Liam back from Marty. It’s going to be the reward. This is gonna tick John off.

    • Brody tries to fight his way out of his brain hit to get to Marty and Liam, but loses precious time flailing.

    • Marty walks by Matthew and Destiny, with Liam, brazen as you please.

    • Matthew and Destiny must make sure Brody receives prompt ER care.

    • At the hospital, Matthew, Brody, and Destiny encounter John sticking to Natalie’s side.

    • John has Brody leave out Liam’s MIA status when speaking to Nat. She can’t take it, bro.

    • Too bad Natalie finds out Liam’s gone missing anyway when she tunes in to the TV and sees Clint offering big money for his safe return.

    • John tries to get Natalie to go over the events of her fall.

    • Natalie and Viki turn to the Lord Almighty to save the day.

    • Marty’s flight from the law hits a snag when she arrives at the Minuteman Motel and Rick, Deanna’s porn maker.

    • At the Minuteman Motel, Marty daydreams about a life she will never have—with John and their baby, now that she removed the other women. Her reverie gets shattered when she realizes she needs that session tape.

    • Liam misses his mommy, emitting a continuous, ear-splitting shriek that drives Marty crazy.

    • Rick, that porn guy, pops up to try to get baby Liam to pipe down, ignoring Marty.

    • Once back in his Minuteman Motel room, Rick also catches the TV broadcast and Clint’s reward.

    • Because Rick may have made Marty, she begins to pack to turn and burn again.

    • John and Brody are hard on Marty’s trail, racing against time.

    • From the looks of it, John and Brody surmise that Marty might’ve played a hand in Dr. Bhuhari laying there like dead meat.

    • Wes rolls around, taking in Marty and this situation, stalling her getaway.

    • Marty quickly assesses that Wes is one of Jessica’s alters, and tries to figure out a way to play him to her advantage.

    • Brody and Viki go over what happened with Natalie, locking in on the crucial evidence of the session tape that may still be at the Angel Square Hotel.

    • An alerted Rex tends to Natalie, his concern and relief palpable.

    • John gets mighty fed up with Rick’s one-track-mind about getting Clint’s reward money. It takes everything within the detective not to pulverize Rick right then and there.

    • John and Brody must go through an evasive Wes to get to Marty and Liam’s next coordinates. Only…

    • Wes facilitates Marty’s evasion of the law, by refusing to give her away. Not even to Brody.

    • Brody cannot manage to budge Wes (or Jess inside) to point them in the direction of Marty.

    • Bothersome Tess resurfaces, taking over Jessica’s body, and saying she knows nothing about Marty.

    • Brody takes Tess into custody, charging her with aiding and abetting a baby-napper.

    • John must give Natalie the truth: they have not yet located Marty with Liam yet. To calm Natalie down, he tends lovingly to her.

    • Joey feels so grateful when Kelly opens her eyes, post-surgery.

    • Joey doesn’t hesitate in pouring out his heart to Kelly, including the part where he has been a fool about con artists Aubrey and Cutter. He begs Kelly not to hate him or hold it against him for questioning her integrity.

    • Joey and Aubrey lay their cards on the table. He dismays her with what he has figured out.

    • Beats before Wes encounters Marty later, he makes quite a scene with the ladies.

    • Ford has to shake the cobwebs out of his ears when they report that Tess fugued into a man patterned after Brody’s war buddy, Wes.

    • Aubrey and Rama keep Wes preoccupied, and out of trouble.

    • Cutter has Wes join him at the Minuteman Motel, man to man, but he’s really going after a man to woman affair, if he can help it.

    • Cutter tries to charm Wes into going back inside Jessica’s head and letting Tess back out.

    • Cutter strives to bring Tess back instead of having to deal with another guy.

    • Wes puts Cutter off in the nicest manner, explaining that he doesn’t fly that way.

    • Cutter’s Rico Suave press ticks Wes off. Wes gives Cutter dirty lickings.

    • Dressed up in his work costume—a hot dog—Ford takes notice of a legal eagle dressed in her work costume—a hamburger. He tries to get as much legal info from her as possible to help him win custody of Ryder. But the law student hottie thinks he’s wanting to get in her pants after work.

    • Todd thinks he can rattle Tomas into giving his game plan away.

    • But Tomas uses what he knows and what he thinks he knows on Todd to get Todd to behave and say to the authorities that Tomas never shot him.

    • Todd changes his tune about Tomas, which dumbfounds Tea… and Blair.

    • Tea goes to Tomas to marvel about Todd suddenly taking back his attempted murder claim. Tomas nods.

    • Calmar warns Tomas that whatever he does, Todd is affected too; they are inextricably linked.

    • Dani and Nate remain at an impasse about Tomas.

    • Tabloid reporter Blanca hacks off Bo and Nora by alerting them to her next move: she’s going to plaster everywhere that their son Matthew offed Eddie.

    • Bo and Nora alert Matthew to what Blanca has planned, prompting the young man to do what’s right and go to the cops.

    • Matthew inquires about Destiny’s recent reticence around him. Was it their first time making love making her awkward?

    • If Shaun inches closer by several feet, he’d be able to learn all about how Destiny gave it up for Matthew.

    • Matthew validates that he’s still into Destiny, even more now that she gave him love he needed.

    • Matthew and Destiny kiss again, but this time they have an audience—the girl who dumped Matthew, Dani.

    • Dani demands to know what the meaning of this is from Destiny, who cracks.

    • Dani pokes around until she does know—that Matthew killed Eddie all this time.

    • Destiny implores Dani to go to the grave with this secret.

    • Enter, tabloid jerkazoid Blanca—sticking a proverbial mic up Destiny and Dani’s butts.

    • Destiny passionately puts Blanca in her place.

    • Dani takes Blanca’s word for it over the lies.

    • Nate gleans all he needs to from Destiny and Dani’s talk about what Matthew did and has been getting away with.

    • Nate gives Matthew heat about the Eddie Ford killing. In Nate’s mind, if Matthew came forward right away, Nate and those he cared about wouldn’t have had to suffer.

    • Nate clobbers Matthew about the head, in an enraged tirade. Matthew goes down.

    • Nate expects Matthew to give himself up as Eddie Ford’s killer, now.

    • Blanca shakes Clint down about Matthew killing Eddie and his parents keeping the crime from the cops. Clint, in return, offers a bargain that will suit them both.

    • Bo and Nora beeline for Blanca to do damage control.

    • Clint gives himself up as the person who really slayed Eddie Ford when speaking on the record with Blanca. At this point, Bo and Nora show up and hear this ultimate act of remorse and sacrifice.

    • Clint and Bo make Clint’s fatal state known to Nora.

    • Blanca confirms for Rex that Clint owned up.

    • Dorian passes along to Joey what Clint just copped to with reporter Blanca on TV.

    • Bo and Nora will go back home to Matthew suffering from head trauma (delivered by Nate), which will lead the family to the hospital for a heart-breaking decision.

    • Cristian and Rama do a damned good impression of a sizzling hit item. They really hit it off this week. Vimal will not play the fool for much longer.

    • James remembers why he loved Deanna, as the two act more like a couple again.

    • James and Deanna are enjoying their time together as a couple when Dani barges in.

    • Next week: Matthew drops to the floor from head trauma that will eventually flatline him. Bye, Nate. It was nice knowing you… Marty uses the trump card to get away with two attempted murders: Todd Manning…Todd will not be able to refuse Marty for fugitive assistance either…Brody puts Todd through a severe wringer… Tess and Wes may be of little use to Brody. But Bess will drop a gem about Marty’s next move… Roxy consults a telepathic to hunt down Marty and recover Liam… Cutter demands his cut from the Buchanans… Joey expects Aubrey to get real. He lets her know the con is up… Vimal realizes through some facts made known to him that Rama has been deceitful.
