| I am a recent owner of a DVR I have my own DVR that has a hard drive and I used to record programs on there. Now with my new TV I like the ease of using the Directv DVR. My DVR makes a noise that sounds like a hard drive spinning, even when its not on. My question is do they all do that? I have gotten used to it but it was quite annoying in the beginning. | |

| Mine seem to do that as well Tony. So far there hasn't been a problem so I guess it's normal. I don't even hear it that often. | |

| Funny, mine does the same thing. It will spin for about an hour, then suddenly stop. Then start back up again, etc., etc. It has a hard drive, but I've never actually used it. Funny thing, until now, I never even thought about it. | |

| So I guess its normal then. I just wanted to make sure that its not going to explode or crash that would not be good! | |

Seems so. I think we all just had a learning moment. | |
