    Hi all,

    I was indecisive at first about whether I liked this or not, but if I had to grade it, I would give it a B. A really good movie about an unstable young woman with the lead role in "Swan Lake" and goes mad and her life and behavior mirrors the role that she's playing. I'm not sure if Natalie Portman deserved an Oscar for this, but she was good. My main problem with this movie is that the special effects were way overdone - at times it seemed more like a glamourized horror film than an Oscar-winning movie. With these hallucination scenes I think it would've been better to make the audience question "Did that really happen or did she just imagine it?" rather than make the hallucinations so blunt and obvious. Still, I like it quite a bit though.

    Has anybody else seen this?

    I watched this tonight for the first time and ended up with mixed feelings. I thought the last half-hour jumped the shark and my interest went downhill. Barbara Hershey was well-cast as Portman's mother; they certainly looked like mother 'n' daughter, and it was good to see Barbara again.
