| To everyone who is currently single: do you currently see yourself (where you are right now in life, and in temperament) as being 'marriage material?' | |

| Though I am in a long term relationship, I don't think I could ever "make it official". We have been together for a very long time, but there has never been a time I could say with certainty it is forever. And for better or worse, that is just how it is. | |

You are way too young to feel like that this soon! Maybe but I think it's a safe bet, and it's not that I'd mind too much, I don't have much interest in getting married. I have an idea I'd be a very lousy wife; and the only part of it that I could see as a loss would be missing out on becoming a mother. I've always seen msyelf with kids but never a husband, I was quite a modern thinker at 9 years old, But I wonder about that too because I'm not too sure I'd be that good of a mother either.

At the age you are now, maybe you wouldn't be a good mother. But that only has to do with age and experience. Once you live a few more years, your thoughts may change. My high school best friend did not even like picking up a child, they made her too nervous. Until she was almost 30! Then after getting married, which she said she would never do, she had two children. And she is the best, most attentive mommy ever.

This reminds me of a radio ad we have around here for foster parents. It says 'are you an embarrassment on the dance floor? Do you confuse state capitals? Make runny scrambled eggs? Think trigonometry is a planet? And snore louder than a Kodiak bear? If you're scared of spiders, dentists and clowns and confuse hip hop with double dutch, you may have what it takes to foster a child, because they don't need perfection, they just need you'.

Chris, are you thinking about it? You also posted about public vs private wedding proposals. Makes me wonder.

Hell no! No man would have me at this time in my life. I'm 23 and I still have a lot of growing up to do and a lot of exploring to do before I settle down with one person. Now maybe in 5, 10 years I'll be adult enough for marriage, and if it happens that way, zippity-doo-dah.
