| Does it take much sun to darken your skin....? I tan very easily in the summer. | |

| I don't get too much color. I use a lot of sunscreen but a few rays get through. One of my grandfathers would use olive oil. This was before they invented skin cancer. | |

| I tan pretty well, but I'm at the beach most good-weather days. I try to maintain a base tan all winter so I don't burn in the spring and summer.
It is those sunburns that cause the skin cancers - the ones I got every year of my childhood living in St. Louis and taking my white pasty skin out into the sun every spring and getting blistering sunburns.
Did you know you can also get too little sun? That is a backlash problem. We need vitamin D and the supplements don't quite do it like the natural. So, guys risk sun cancer by UV exposure and prostate cancer by no UV exposure (vitamin D prevents it) | |

| I tan pretty easy, but noticed that now that I am in my 30's, I burn without sunscreen. We were outside at my aunt's last week for about an hour long walk and I got red on my chest where my shirt was cut a little lower than I have worn outside yet this year. | |

| I don't know. You won't see much of a difference if I've been out in sun too long or if I haven't. My skin pretty much stays the same color. | |

| No, not really, I don't. It takes being out in the sun an awful lot to change my natural color. | |
