My 30-year-old self did not even think about getting old. My current self - unless I am looking into a mirror or experiencing one of the physical maladies that come & go, does not think himself old.
I have to remind myself of the reality, that some 30-somethings consider me ancient, so I don't make a fool of myself coming on to them. But, luckily there are some bent boys who want the affections of a Daddy, so that is always nice.
And, when I was a young man I was going with a woman older than my mother, so there would be no value judgment about me going with guys 30 years younger than myself. (or even 40 years younger).

Age is only a number, and you're only as old as you feel! (Though somedays, I feel pretty damn old. . .

In all seriousness, when I'm as old as my grandmother, I hope to be able to look back and say that I accomplished all or most of my goals in life, and that the second half of my life was happier than the first half was. I imagine I'll still be working a few hours here and there, too, only because I love what I do for work, and they'll probably never let me retire or quit, anyway!

I hope that I am still very active and able to do for myself and that people enjoy being around me. I hope I am one of those cute old ladies who is super nice to be around and everyone adores. Like my Auntie that I posted the pic of!

Hopefully not crotchety and shut down, but on the other extreme I don't wanna be an old pervert at the club either....so I guess somewhere in between.

Busy and active - traveling around and doing things. Hopefully I'll be in good enough health to be like my parents - snowbirds in the winter (well, for one month), traveling in the summer.
