Saw a lot of cars this evening filled with kids obviously going to the prom. Did you go to yours? I didn't go to mine because I didn't have a date and refused to show up alone!

My then-BF and I went to two different schools with two different prom nights, so we wound up going to both in the same week. His was okay, but I had a ball at mine.

My girl at the time didn't wanna go cause she was all about getting ready for graduation and I guess prom woulda "distracted" her or something. Never made much sense to me but I didn't care really.

Didn't go to mine. My senior year girlfriend had to go out of town to a funeral. Luckily for me, I didn't spend any money.

I didn't go. School events and dances were always a boring waste of time to me. It was akin to lunchroom chatter and congestion. With proms and homecomings being the "crest" of these things, I had even LESS of a desire to attend them.

Last night I saw a group of high school kids at a catering hall near my house; clearly they were having their prom there. I regret that I didn't get the opportunity to go when I was their age.

I didn't go to any either and I don't feel like I was missing anything. After all, it's just a dance, it's not like a Presidential Inauguration.
