I had just arrived in Korea. At that moment I never imagined I would spend two years instead of one and never imagined the nightmares we would go through serving there after 9/11 happened.

A little different. Different job and commute. Less money. I miss hanging out with a group of friends we had back then.

Life wasn't that great ten years ago. In fact, other than being mom to a wonderful son, not much else was looking good the summer of 2001. Makes me feel blessed to be where I am today.

Exactly what I am doing now. Lived in a diff apt, in the same neighborhood but they are all laid out the same so I don't even know which it was. Still worked at the same place, biked 6-miles to work each day, worked on the same computer, with the same boss and same immediate co-workers.

Since 1996.
Lived in Miami since 1981 but spent 5 years in Gainsville from '91 to '96.

Ten years ago this time the lease was up on my first apartment and at the last minute I had found another, so I was gearing up to move. I left in July but the new place wasn't available to me until Sept., so I wound up staying with my parents in the interim.
