When you were a kid, was there any music (or artists) that your parents didn't approve of you listening to? Did they ever confiscate one of your albums (CDs)?

They tried. lol They hated the Stones, Allman Brothers, Taj Mahal, Otis Rush stuff. But I just wasn't one for the Florida Boys or Chuckwagon Gang

What, confiscate Hound Dog, Blue Bayou, Love Me Tender, Teen angel or Wake Up Little Susie?

Once when I was 12, my mother found a tape I bought at the gas station by a early 90s rap group called THE DOGS. Their shit was XXX rated....and she took it from me.

Nope. I do remember my mother being hesitant to buy me a Bone Thugs N Harmony cd though. She was reading the name of some of the songs on back and was like "forget it". But then her friend who was shopping with us said that she was purchasing the 'clean' version of the album because the parental advisory sticker wasn't on it. However, my mother wasn't paying much attention because she was inadvertently covering up the sticker with her thumb. It was on there, but it was a small sticker. So she said "okay" and handed me the cd to hold until we got to the counter. Of course, I didn't say shit.

No. When I was still young enough for them to control, the music was basically G rated compared to now. Closest thing I remember was a friend's mother objecting to Steppenwolf's cover of The Pusher. "Godamn the pusher man." She didn't take the record away. Next raunchy thing I can remember was "Walk on the Wild Side" by Lou Reed. "But she never lost her head, even when she was giving head."
