    How soon do you throw away your birthday/holiday/greeting cards....or do you keep them?

    They sort of just linger around for awhile, getting shuffled here and there. It's usually months later, when I'm cleaning up, that I'll come across them again and decide whether or not to toss them or to file them away. Most of the time I throw them away.

    I save more of them than I should. I write the year on the back and maybe some day I will look back on them.

    There are a few special ones that I have kept for years (about a 1-inch stack) but most go withing a week or so.

    I don't see why people would throw away their cards. I mean, if someone is willing to give you a card, they should have sentimental value.

    If I really like the card or who I got it from, then I will put it up immediately. If the card doesn't matter much, then I may hang onto it for a few weeks before throwing it out.
