Not so much secret but we have a borscht recipe and a cabbage role recipe and there are a bunch of baking recipes in the family.

Not really. My wife does a few dishes like her grandmother did (like cabbage rolls too!) but nothing that's a trade secret.

Umm, no. Prob. the closet thing would be that most of the women on my mother's side, starting with my grandmother and make the hell out of a sweet potato pie.
