Re: Walmart
Good prices. Has everything. Yeah, I shop at Wal-Mart from time to time. I know they're hellbent on putting one of those in the city.

Re: Walmart
I go there when I can get a ride. I am biking distance from a K-Mart and a Target so that is where I make my shopping expeditions.

Re: Walmart
Walmart's pretty cool. We shop there quite a bit. They just gotta do something to keep them from being so freaking hot.

Re: Walmart
I like Walmart but the Walmarts here in NY suck. There are not very many of them so when you go, its jam packed with rude people with bulging eyes thinking that they are getting something for free. The shelves are ravaged and they are always out of stock on most things that you want. I like the Walmarts in California, they are all Huge Superstores and not crowded and the shelves are always stocked.

LOL, me too. Wal-Mart for some reason breeds a high level of atrociousness. There is even an atrocious song that I can't even bear to post on here dedicated to it.

Re: Walmart
Not really. There are 2 really big Walmart stores near my house, but I rarely shop there because they are too spacious (and kind of dirty) that you can't easily find what you're looking for. I prefer Target.

Re: Walmart
Can't beat the prices there and how they have everything. Ours became a supercenter last year with the grocery store in there. The produce sucks. I never buy that there anymore.

I drive right through the tunnel to NJ all of time, right to Wal-Mart. I drive right through the tunnel to NJ all of time, right to Wal-Mart. There's a nice super center in North Bergen. I wish they would put one here in Manhattan. I wish they would put one here in Manhattan.

LOL. They won't. A Wal-Mart would totally kill the mom and pop stores here.

I don't know what mom and pop stores you're referring to here. Wal-Mart will fit right into the city along with all the other huge chains.

Re: Walmart
Honestly, myself, I'm not that big a fan of the store. I agree with Cat; the stores are too huge, and things are so spaced out that you can't easily find items. What's worst, though, are the lines.

Re: Walmart
When I pled guilty before it was because of the shitty way they treat their employees and because I'm helping to strengthen the Chinese economy. I've never had a problem finding what I need and the lines aren't worse than other large stores.

Mom and Pop stores that sell the same things Wal-Mart does for more money. They're trying to stop Wal-Mart from opening in the five boroughs. Apparently, that would be the backlash.

There are very few mom and pop stores around these days, especially in Manhattan. We have a chain of everything practically on every corner.
Do you shop in mom and pop stores for appliances, clothes and health and beauty stuff? I never do and probably haven't since the late 70's or early 80's.
