Do you share food with people? Like, for example, you bought or prepared a modest serving of food for yourself (fries, a couple of scoops of ice cream, a pizza, Coke, etc., etc.) and someone comes along while you're eating it, do you offer them some? Or do you tell them where they can buy their own?

I'll share a cookie, or a slice a pizza....but they're not taking 1/2 my candy bar or drinking 1/3 of my juice.

I would always offer to share, just to be polite. But what kind of person takes someone up on that? Like I have a slice of pizza and are you really gonna take me up on ripping it in half?

Why offer it if it will bother you if they accept your offer? I've offered things like chips and popcorn but part of a slice of pizza or a piece of my sandwich? Fuggedaboutit.

I'm alone, usually when I eat during the day, but I do offer some to my cats--ice cream and chicken are the top favorites.

If it's something that can be easily shared, I will, but if not, I don't bother.

Sometimes. Depends on what mood I'm in. If I know I'm prob. not going to finish it, I'll definitely offer.

I offer even though it will bother me if they accept because I always feel awkward as hell eating in front of someone so I would rather just offer and feel less awkward.

If I'm on my work lunch hour and someone plops down while I'm eating ~ tough!
If I'm at home and not expecting anyone, I'll place the food in the kitchen until that person leaves (although I typically don't answer surprise-knocks on the door).
If I'm at a bar or restaurant with a friend or two I may offer a sample of something I have. At Chinese restaurants we often share with each other.
