    My eyes are SORE tonight after being in the pool today and we had to put in a chlorine tablet and algae-guard. I put eyedrops in when I got out, and those things are just as damn irritating as my eyes already were, and put them in again and they're still sore. soap box

    But probably infinitely more comfortable than going thru any number of diseases an untreated pool could give you.

    However, we have a local pool, called the Venetian Pool, that is unconventional in that it appears natural and has fresh water that is changed often, so it doesn't require chemicals. Sorta like a lake or stream.
